parte do 6º Seminário Socioambiental de Infra-Estrutura de Transporte (ViaViva
2022), reforçou a urgência de investimentos no mercado de Combustíveis

Seminar Representatives of the Brazilian airline industry gathered in a traditional
event to discuss the future of clean aviation after the milestone of the
Long-Term Global Goal (LTAG). The side event, part of the 6th
Socio-Environmental Seminar on Transport Infrastructure (ViaViva
2022), reinforced the urgency of investments in the Sustainable Aviation
Fuels market to reach the net-zero goal by 2050. Watch the full event or

do mercado de PtL SAF é parte do
Relatório Ambiental da OACI As
oportunidades mais promissoras para a criação de um mercado internacional de
SAF foram apresentadas na mais recente edição Relatório Ambiental da
Organização da Aviação Civil Internacional (OACI). O importante documento,
que apresenta os avanços do desenvolvimento sustentável do setor aéreo,
contou com um capítulo sobre combustíveis sintéticos escrito pelo ProQR em
parceria com o PtX Hub Berlin. O sistema Book and Claim e a produção descentralizada ganharam destaque como
estratégias defendidas pelos projetos para o futuro da aviação limpa. |
Expansion of the PtL
SAF market is part of the ICAO Environmental Report The most promising opportunities for the creation of an international
SAF market were presented in the latest edition of the International Civil
Aviation Organization (ICAO) Environmental Report. The important document,
which presents advances in the sustainable development of the airline
industry, featured a chapter on synthetic fuels written by ProQR in
partnership with the PtX Hub Berlin. The Book and
Claim system and decentralised production were highlighted as strategies
advocated by the projects for the future of clean aviation. |

Experiência
do SENAI ISI-ER com combustíveis sustentáveis de aviação será apresentada em
Londres A planta laboratorial
de produção de SAF do Instituto SENAI de Inovação em Energias Renováveis
(ISI-ER) ganhará destaque em conferência sobre energias renováveis e
sustentáveis em Londres. O evento, que ocorrerá em outubro de 2023,
será uma oportunidade para que a equipe do ISI-ER compartilhe sua experiência
na produção de Power-to-Liquid
SAF a partir da reforma da glicerina. O ProQR, em parceria com o projeto H2
Brasil, trabalhou em prol da parceria entre o SENAI e a Cooperação Técnica
Alemã para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (GIZ – Deutsche Gesellschaft
für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) para o

SENAI ISI-ER's experience with
sustainable aviation fuels will be presented in London The laboratory plant for SAF production at the SENAI Institute for
Renewable Energy Innovation (ISI-ER) will be highlighted at a conference on
renewable and sustainable energy in London. The event, which will take
place in October 2023, will be an opportunity for the ISI-ER team to share
its experience in the production of Power-to-Liquid SAF from the reformation
of glycerine. ProQR, in partnership with the H2 Brazil project, worked
towards the partnership between SENAI and the German Technical Cooperation

verde e petróleo sintético podem ajudar aviação limpa Pesquisas para a
produção de combustíveis alternativos sustentáveis na Universidade Federal de
Goiás ganham destaque por seu potencial de fazer avançar a aviação limpa na
academia brasileira. A inauguração Laboratório de Pesquisa em Processos
Renováveis e Catálise (GO H2) contou com a presença gestores da Universidade
Federal de Goiás (UFG), representantes da Cooperação Brasil-Alemanha e da
Embaixada da Alemanha, além de representantes do governo federal, municipal e
estadual. Os estudos realizados com o petróleo sintético produzido no
laboratório, são possíveis graças à parceria entre a UFG e a Cooperação

Green hydrogen and synthetic crude oil
can help clean aviation Research for the production of sustainable
alternative fuels at the Federal University of Goiás
is highlighted for its potential to advance clean aviation in Brazilian
academia. The inauguration of the Research Laboratory of Renewable Processes
and Catalysis (GO H2) was attended by managers from the Federal University of
Goiás (UFG), representatives of the Brazil-Germany
Cooperation and the German Embassy, as well as representatives of the
federal, municipal and state governments. The
studies carried out with the synthetic crude produced in the laboratory are
possible thanks to the partnership between the University and the German
Technical Cooperation for Sustainable Development (GIZ - Deutsche Gesellschaft
für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), promoted by

quer criar diretoria ‘verde’ na Petrobras para desenvolver fontes renováveis
de energia Já nas primeiras
semanas de 2023, o novo governo eleito no Brasil tem sinalizado o interesse
de que a Petrobrás crie uma diretoria voltada à transição energética e às
fontes de energia renováveis, como a eólica e a solar. A mudança de postura
vem após anos em que a estatal brasileira tinha foco quase exclusivo em
petróleo. Agora, diante da grande expectativa internacional por políticas de
sustentabilidade no Brasil, a Petrobrás pode se tornar um ator-chave no

'green' division at Petrobras to develop renewable energy Already in the first weeks of 2023, the new government in Brazil has
signalled its interest in Petrobras creating a division focused on energy
transition and renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar. The change
in posture comes after years in which the Brazilian state-owned company
focused almost exclusively on oil. Now, faced with the great international
expectation for sustainability policies in Brazil, Petrobras can become a key

brasileira se mostra resiliente após a pandemia de COVID-19 e demonstrou
crescimento e recuperação em recente relatório da Associação Internacional de
Transportes Aéreos (IATA, em inglês). O número de rotas domésticas aumentou
12,5% comparado a 2019 e os índices de tráfego aéreo no país tiveram uma
recuperação de cerca de 80%. Diante desse cenário promissor, as companhias

Brazil's Domestic Connectivity Grows
12.5% Compared to 2019 The Brazilian airline industry is proving resilient after the pandemic
of COVID-19 and demonstrated growth and recovery in a recent report by the
International Air Transport Association (IATA). The number of domestic routes
increased by 12.5% compared to 2019 and air traffic levels in the country saw
a recovery of around 80%. Given this promising scenario, Brazilian airlines
point to energy transition as a major next step and consider 2023 a critical

compromissos internacionais para alcançar a meta net-zero na aviação até
2050, o diretor executivo da Airbus, Guillaume Faury,
acredita que os investimentos em SAF ainda são insuficientes. Em entrevista,
ele falou sobre como a consolidação do compromisso da empresa na nova
tecnologia dependem de uma previsão de que o combustível alternativo seja
produzido em escala para atender à demanda do mercado global. Para Faury, são necessários maiores esforços para garantir a
produção de SAF e a adoção efetiva de políticas de mandato por parte dos

Airbus director warns of delay in decarbonising the airline industry In response to international commitments to achieve the net-zero goal
in aviation by 2050, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury
believes that investments in SAF are still insufficient. In an interview, he
spoke about how the consolidation of the company's commitment to the new
technology depends on a forecast that the alternative fuel will be produced
in scale to meet global market demand. For Faury,
greater efforts are needed to ensure the production of SAF and the effective

Brasileira das Empresas Aéreas (Abear), o Brasil
possui potencial para tornar-se pioneiro e líder no mercado internacional de
SAF. Para que isso aconteça, a diretora de Relações Institucionais da
Associação acredita que seja necessária a construção, por parte do governo
brasileiro, de políticas públicas consonantes a normas e acordos
internacionais. Dentre os aspectos citados pela diretora está a regulação no

ABEAR: 'Brazil could be the world's
largest producer of SAF According to the Brazilian Airline Association (Abear),
Brazil has the potential to become a pioneer and leader in the international
SAF market. For this to happen, the director of Institutional Relations of
the Association believes it is necessary for the Brazilian government to
develop public policies in line with international standards and agreements.
